Dear Friends,

I hope and trust that this finds you well.

As we now know, the government lockdown does mean that we cannot gather for worship in our beautiful church. We can however open the church for individual prayer during the day and will do so Monday- Friday 10am- 12noon. We will need volunteers to help us in a range of areas over the coming weeks. If you can offer some time to assist, especially if you are younger and not in a vulnerable group, could you please contact me or Lizzie on Elizabeth.lees@sheffield.anglican.org. Different to last time, there is now a possibility of having a very limited number of people at Mass to help with the broadcast. We are looking to include some organ music and possibly a voice and I will also be exploring if I can have a server to assist with the offering of worship and to improve the quality of the broadcast.

Mass will be celebrated and live-streamed via our Facebook page www.facebook.com/carverstreet1855 on Tuesdays 6pm, Wednesday-Friday 1230pm, Saturday 0930am and on Sunday at 11am. Please do join me in praying the Mass together or offer a prayer in unison with me.

I put out a little video last night which you can access here: https://fb.watch/1zYC6WbcGi/

The Church Union and The Society, which is supported by Forward in Faith, join with the leaders of the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales in urging you to observe a month of Prayer for the Nation during this second national lockdown. As many of us as possible should unite at 6pm each day to say the Angelus and offer intercessions for the vulnerable and those charged with their care. They have just released this short prayer booklet helps you with that.

With my love and prayers
