St Matthew’s has been a place for generations of students and young people to grow in their faith.

Founded in 1855, we are a Church of England Parish confident in our Anglo-Catholic tradition and welcoming of all. St Matthew’s Church is a safe place to grow, ask questions, meet new people, and belong.

You can find us open every day of the week for worship and for quiet prayer.

Following the 11am Mass, students are invited to a free lunch at the Benjamin Huntsman

Taste and See Theology Study Day
Saturday 7 November
Following the 9:30am Mass, there will be a day-long conference for those wanting a taster in theology. Lunch included.

Adoremus Pilgrimage
Friday 20 – Sunday 22 November
Young Adult’s Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. Bursaries and Support Availiable.

Lunch at the Vicarage
Sunday 6 December
Free lunch at the Vicarage following the 11am Mass

City Carol Service
Sunday 13 December
4pm followed by Mulled Wine and Mince Pies

Scriptorium
Every Thursday in Term Time
9am-5pm a free space to study, eat and have fellowship together. All welcome.
